Pulse Check // Editorial
Storytelling through my photography is a new step I'm taking in order to make a point, use my "voice", and to make my work "speak" a little louder. My photos finally feel like they have a pulse. I think people tend to do what they think is expected of them. Survive, work, repeat. I needed to be brave and break that habit. Not quite there, yet, I have a lot more I want to venture towards, but I love the results, as tame as they may be. This shoot allowed me to play with an idea, plan, direct, style, and photograph all in one. I liked it and am now addicted to it. Not only does my work now have a pulse, but I can feel mine quickening because of it. Here's hoping it inspires you to be brave and breathe a little bit more life into something you love to do.
